old ones came out easy.
did the clean/freeze on the new ones.
prewarmed barrels at 225.
the new ones are 2/3 in and dont want to go all the way down. i tried to persuade them!
my next thought is to freeze the whole set up and try it again tomorrow in hopes that the alloy will expand much quicker and allow them to drop down?
any tips or suggestions?
i tried to search for similar stories but found none. thanks for being here.
problem with new sleeves
225 isn't nearly warm enough. Put the cylinder in the oven, on a suitable pair of blocks, and heat it up to at least 400° until the sleeves drop the rest of the way. Be sure to check your piston/cylinder wall clearance after things cool down.
