Front Torque Link Bush

Post by pkay » Thu Dec 27, 2012 10:36 pm

Hi Guys
Am I missing something here or are these bushes about the only thing you can't find? I am after a set for my C92 restoration - it's about the only thing left I need for the bike. I can't be the only person who has needed to repalce them?
Regards
Paul

Paul; from my experience on the dreams (not finding those bushes) I got creative and did some measuring. Honda (of course) did not make those bushings. they were sourced from a jobber and were standardized as much as possible. there are many parts on these bikes that measure the same and obviously came from the same source. on the 305 dreams, the fork pivot bushings can be interchanged with the front brake torque arm bushings. try thinking along these lines, you might find something.
Good luck
Randy

Thanks Guys

Colin referred me to Bill Orazio in the US who I rang a few tuimes and left a message but never rang back and you can't get him through his eBay store.

Randy I think you are right I may even get them made up. I know they are the same on most of the early honda's with this brake set up - I just find it odd you can get everything except this bush set which is an item that gets a bit of a hammering.

Thanks again for you ideas.

Cheers

Paul

I've not measured one of these recently but someone like this ought to be in a position to help.
