OK--I believe in the centrifugal oil filter now!!
OK--I believe in the centrifugal oil filter now!!When I pulled my old filter it was very clean and I wondered how well the design worked. Today, I took apart my backup filter. It took a lot of effort to get the two sections apart. That was because there was 3/4" of black gritty sediment packed into the thing.
I guess they really work!! Re: OK--I believe in the centrifugal oil filter now!!When you say backup, do you mean a spare? That would be pretty cool for a "fast oil change." :)
I agree about not letting anything build up. But I figure, if you're going to change the oil often, it would be less of a chore to have a clean filter handy to swap in while the goo drains out. By the time the plug's ready to go back in you could have the oil filter cover back on and snug. :) I may just find me a spare to have on hand!
