RE: 3 and 4 wired statorHi all,
I'm new here, I'm Ronald van Vlierberghe and I'm from Holland. I have a 1964 C78 and with a 4 wire stator (Denso HDW3800) My stator have 4 wires: Green/Yellow, Pink, Brown and green (also Light green/Red for neutral) The 4th green wire came out of the stator and is cut, on that place are also two M3 tap holes. The green wire goes to the + of the coil and is there cut too.. Is there anyone who can tell me what the function is about the green wire and what's missing on the outside of the stator I do not find any wiring diagram with the green wire on.. I hope someone can help.. Thanks in advance! Regards, Ronald PS: I hope it is clear enough because my English is not perfect..

Hoi Ronald,
What resistance do you measure between the green wire and ground ? between the green wire and all other wires of the stator ? See this thread for understanding the stator in general : http://www.hondatwins.net/forum/viewtop ... =53&t=7534 I have several stators from dreams also the four wire (including green), and I will see if I can find your configuration, please pm me, Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
Merry Christmas jensen.
Isn't that a GREEN/RED wire for the neutral circuit?. ..........lm
