Yeah if I was closer I would bring some good Belgium beer called Budweiser to your fine BBQ. :-) Cliff

only thing I like better than BBQ is getting the bike running. :)

BTW; rechecked the spark like you said. ZIP, but only have 0.4v to right point.
12.4v to left, but no sparky.
accidentally shorted across the point & then 12v spark on left points (plug - nada).
:(
HT cable??
have a new condenser coming. (hopefully by Thur)

What a beautiful sound when that old 305 Lady yawned and woke up.

Ed, I can't thank you enough. That was such sweet music to my ears when you kicked her over [from the side] and she fired up.
she was a bit cranky after her 36 year sleep :)

To say you are a genius with that engine is not accurate enough, it is like a master artist at work.

I hope to have time next week-end to make the carb adjustments and other stuff you recommended, also not to forget I have a working fork-lock now, also.
I had neglected to re-torque that cap nut (that's why the oil leak above the exhaust).

Thank you also for inviting me into your lovely home. You and Lori are the heart and soul of Texas hospitality.

And thank you for sharing your knowledge, I wish I had made some notes while I was there because my memory isn't what it used to be, but should another "unsolvable" problem arise for me, I know who to go to for the way to fix it right.

Thanks again.

Mark

BTW: the receiver I couldn't remember is a Rock River.
