cl77 tires?

Post by nosfoursale » Mon Jun 25, 2012 12:54 pm

I am restoring a 1966 cl77. I know getting tires for this bike is getting harder and harder. Does anyone know of a place I can purchase a front and rear tire for this bike?

Try Scrambler Cycle. He had Heidenau tires in the correct size for my CB 77 last time I knew. Good service, and very fast turnaround.

I can do street tires in a 3.00x19 and 3.50x19 for the CL77 but don't really have anything in a Heidenau that is more of a "Scrambler" tire. If you bump up the front to 3.25x19 you could run the Dunlop K70's front and rear. That is what I have on my Scrambler. The K70 is a little more aggressive but still not a scrambler tire.

Tires

I have the K70's on my 66 Cl77 and they work well and look close to the original tires. I got them from cycle goodies locally. he mounts them and I would add that it is a good idea to get new tubes when replacing tires. have fun!!
