I am running nice haggon shocks on my cb77 right now, I originally bought them to put on my cb160 but decided to use them on the cb77. Currently
Their adjust to the fullest stiffness they can be but I still bottom out over bumps, and compared to the original cb77 shocks, they're pretty loose, I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with other Haggons, but I'm looking into sourcing down some OEM cb77 shocks with black tops, if you have a pair for trade or sale please let me know.

He is the distributor for Hagon in the US, and should be able to help. As far as 'luck' that anyone else has had with other Hagons, I've had mine (full shroud black and chrome, which look basically the same as the OEM) on my bike for several years, and really haven't had much problems with them. If anything, they can be too stiff, so I have mine dialed down to their cushiest setting. I do have to say that if there is a potential problem with these, it's that the base is thicker than the stock shocks, and there isn't as much room between the back of it and the chain guard (this could be a contributing factor to all my cracked chain guards). All I can say is to measure carefully, particularly in that chain guard area that goes behind the shock.
There is another outfit selling Hagons and the scuttlebutt on the warf is they don't know squat about their products.
A shock that bottoms out is undersprung meaning the spring rate is incorrect for the size of the rider or the riding application. My guess is you bought Hagons from somebody who just put shocks in a box and ships them. They should have asked you for a spring rate or your personal weight, if you plan to carry a passenger and your riding style. regards, Rob
