Headlight Switch
Headlight SwitchI have a switch I just took off a CB77 headlight bucket that only has four wires coming off it. No brown, but the green has a double hookup. Is tyhis possibly for an early CB/CL77? Maybe the brown wire on the harness plugs into the green plug? Thanks for any and all info. Only guide I have shows five wires. Charlie
light switchyup...looks to me like the green wire from 4-wire switch connects to the brown wire from dimmer switch among other things...then there are some green with white trace wires in there to confuse things if I remember correctly...

Headlight SwitchThanks for all the info and it's what I was thinking about the green/brown wires together. I know Honda wouldn't have too many different switches to do the same job back then. Had a fellow who wanted to buy the switch but wouldn't commit because of the four versis five wires. I told him it'd fit, but........................................................ After seeing the price of them on Ebay, that's where I'll list. Unfortunately, this computer of mine refuses to accept the program for posting pictures from my camera. Rats !@&%$#^*(@!!!

Some markets disallowed the use of the parking light during riding, therefore the headlight dimmer (dipswitch in UK English) & parking light (HL) and the meter lamp (ML) were connected together. I guess these markets also didn't allow the dimmer switch's midpoint detent, whereby neither the hi nor lo beam is on, either(?).
Charlie, you don't need proprietary software to copy images from your camera. Assuming you're running a Windows OS, just plug in your camera's USB cable and an 'Autoplay' menu should appear (once the generic Windows drivers have completed installation); choose to "Import images using Microsoft Image Transfer" (or similar phrase). By default they'll be saved in a folder, usually named in today's date's format, within your My Pictures (or just Pictures) folder.
Light SwitchSteve, thanks for the info. I have a card "reader" but unfortunately my computer (Lenovo) made by IBM sucks for real. Tried to install the reader software, but no go. I found the USB port, but will have to try and buy the appropiate cable as neither of mine will fit my Olympus Camera. Takes a barrel type plug. Had no problem with my HP. I can't even read the CD of pictures of when I was in Vietnam back in the 60s. Best, Charlie
