Minimum Battery Requirement

Post by davomoto » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:18 am

I'm getting my cafe' bike ready for the Moto Mellee. I am currently running a capacitor, and the halogen headlight, 35w, has blown on me. I'm thinking about installing a 4ah lithium ion battery, small, light easy to hide. Will this be enough to stabilize the current and not blow lights out?

Thanks, Davo

If you really doubt that your bike can deliver enough power for the battery/electricity, why don't use a voltage regulator ?

Hook that up BEFORE the battery, and you will always charge at a steady 12v. (or 14v as most regulators are set that way) Even when in idle, it will sure help for your battety to drain-less power when in idle.

Im still happy with my CB77, but when I notice light are going dimm of worse, blow out because of voltage problems, I surely will install a voltage regulator (better know as a reg/rec)

Yes, good point! I will look into a regulator.

Thanks, Davo

would this work? It says for a single phase, permanent magnet.
