Thanks, Davo
right crank bearing
The honda replacment bearing did'nt have any shields. So I would remove it. Does this bearing have the locating hole for the knock pin ? Did you get this from a bearing house ?What's the part number ?
Thanks, Tim
I also bought the same bearing on eBay. It came in a Honda box with the part number 91002-259-010. Mine also has the shield on the side next to the crankshaft. It does have a hole for a stepped knock pin. It does not have a oil hole. Since the open side of the bearing is against the oil seal I am worried about lubrication for this application. If I do need to remove the shield what is the correct way to that?
Davo,
This is all kinda weird. I have only installed about 6 of the 91002-259-020 without the sheild and no leaks. Although I did just win a 010 bearing off evilbay but have not recieved it yet too see if it has the sheild or not, but it likey will. I think it will work either way. But maybe the 020 without the sheild was to improve oiling ?? Tim
