Thanks for all the comments, guys. As to the metal plate, yes, the gasket is stuck (big time) to the bottom side. I appreciate all the advice!

If it is the full gasket it is stuck to the top side. ..................lm

LM--Yes, it's the top gasket stuck to the breather plate. It left a nice footprint, too, which will be helpful on re-assembly. Thanks for all the advice!
