Recently I bought a pair of Scrambler pipes on E-bay. Upon examining them, I noticed that there appeared to be baffles crammed fairly deep into the rear of the pipes, and there doesn't appear to be any way of removing them. Now, on E-bay, there is another set of pipes, and in the the ad the lister mentioned that the pipes had the built-in baffles. There was a picture showing the inside of the rear of the pipes, and sure enough, it looks pretty much like mine.
I was unaware that Honda ever baffled their Scramblers like this. The easily removable baffles at the very end of the pipes I was familiar with, and the guppy muffler I'm familiar with, but these are different. Anybody else know anything about this? Is there any way of removing the baffles without ruining the pipes? I'm baffled! lol
Built-in Baffles in Exhaust Pipes??
Re: Built-in Baffles in Exhaust Pipes??Just cut that section out and weld on a new one. It's just 1.5" OD 16 gage steel tubing or better yet use stainless. If you need help PM me.
