my 1965 honda dream's kicker recently only came up half way then it wouldn"t come up at all. pulled right cover off. everything semms ok. could it be something inside case?

Possibly - You can check that by putting positive CCW pressure on the kicker shaft and turn the crank clockwise. The kicker shaft should turn CCW. Then turn the kicker shaft CW. You should hear a few solid clicks and then it should hit a hard stop. Hold CW pressure on the kicker shaft and you should hear nothing and the kicker shaft shouldn't move as you rotate the crank. If this doesn't work out, you have to split the cases to get at the worn/broken parts. Good luck!
