winker relay
relayI'll let you know Wilf.. Bulbs should be here shortly.. Thanks Jenson for the good info .Mine is the bi-metal type relay . It is always good to learn different things though.. mike
Hi,
Are we talking a CB/CL/CA ? What year ? What are the codes / numbers on the relay ? I have not seen an original relay based on bi-metal in these bikes, maybe the US had different relay's ? Did the US had bikes with relays original ? Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
winker relayI got the turn signal bulbs yesterday. Put them in this morning and the still wouldn't blink. I had another relay from old parts and installed that. They blinked then but very slow between times. Got the $5.95 one today ,installed it and they worked like a champ. Guess I had bad relays after all. Did make sure all 4 bulbs were the same.
Jensen: This was for a CB125 I just rebuilt. My CL77 doesn't have turn signals on it and didn't stop to think the Dreams and Superhawks did. Sorry for taking your time although I did learn a lot. Thanks mike
Hi,
Never mind, we're here to learn from each other. If it is a relay from a CB125, and if it is original, and if the bulbs burn, but the ritme is slow, it can be adjusted with a small screw after opening the relay. But you have found a working relay, so don't bother. Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
