What finish did Honda use on their Aluminum?Case/Slider paintLM, what paint do you use for cases and sliders?
Re: Case/Slider paintCases= KRYLON Dull Aluminum.
Forks= Same with several coats of KRYLON Dull Aluminum with Krylon SemiFlat Clear. ..............lm
If you can't find Krylon Dull Aluminum locally you can order it here for $5.35 a can. I don't know what additional costs you would have with shipping.
http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraypaintdepo ... aints.aspx HT Handlebar clamp, triple tree, and hubs were brushed aluminum with a satin clear coat. Same for the brake plates. The engine case halves, cylinder, head, and head covers all have no coating, just bare aluminum. Glass beading gives a good finish for those parts. There are a number of posts on what kind of glass to use, I think LM suggests a cleaning with sharp glass, then a final blast with smooth. I just cleaned with a strong degreaser, then used smooth glass with good results.
I no longer use the sharp glass on the cast engine parts.
Just the round. ..............lm
