home made buffed alluminum

Post by naptown68superhawk » Wed Aug 24, 2011 8:12 pm

buffed alluminum looks better anyway. take oven cleaner cheap stuff..(has to have sodium hydroxide). takes the clearcoat off. soak that stuff for like 10 minutes or less watch and be aware look for flat gray to appear. take some scotch brite pads (the green ones) and scrub. it should come off but you can always use two thousand grit paper to help the process. i was told 400 wet sand paper but all i had was two grand. work the stuff off and make it look good.

then take it to your buffing wheel. buff the crap out of it. should look amazing after your done.

thanks C.R. tech tips
