ca77 maintneance specs.I haven't run my engine yet, so I'd hate to give an opinion there, but I got my complete set from Retrobike;

I'm the wrong guy to ask about gaskets. I buy whatever is available at a swap meet or anywhere else if they are cheap. I also modified stock head gaskets to fit bigger pistons and only once did I get a leaky gasket - and it had been professionally made.
So my conclusion is any gasket will probably be fine. With Pistons, I want to want forged pistons but I have melted a few and have never had a cast piston fail even when modified and thrashed mercilessly. Either will work, but the theoretical advantages of a forged piston that needs more clearance is not there for a street motor. I had forgotten what you were trying to do here. If you want just the next size up .25mm or 0.50mm and Ohio has them, that's the way to go as long as they have rings to match. That's what I would do on a Dream. The next cheapest option is Bore-tech cast pistons plus liners to push it out to 65mm and I wouldn't worry about the CR issue too much or Tim McDowell's cast pistons to get back to stock 60.0mm and modify the had to get CR back. I might do the Bore-Tech thing If I wanted more cubes. I'd also look on ebay to see if anyone is selling NOS O/S pistons and rings Really? I just read in bill's manual that the cb/cl pistons will raise compression slightly.
Further, What is up with the "high compression" cb/cl pistons 13102-268-010. i am about to finally purchase pistons and rings and i feel like i need some hand holding. it looks like my choices are: CA .25 pistons for 40.00 each from ohio cycle 13102-266-020 or CB "high compression" pistons from ohio cycle for 25.00 each 13102-268-010 Nick does not have any .25 rings listed. i know that with the 266 pistons, i use the 266 rings which are the thick type. what rings would i use if i went the CB piston route? 275? Sorry for all the questions. I am really nervous and in territory unfamiliar. Ian

268 are 250cc pistons.
266 is for the 305 DREAM. The CB/CL pistons will lower the compression when installed with the DREAM head. Ya want the 266 pistons and the 275 rings. (NOT THE THICK ONES). ............lm
