CB77 Oil

Post by Seanmichaelwood » Sat Jul 30, 2011 9:06 pm

I was told today by a guy at Mission Motorsports to run 20w 50 in my 66 CB77. I think that is too thick, anyone else have to add?

How did you figure that? it's 20Weight when cold and the equivalent to a 50WT thinned at 100C Not as thick as 50Wt when cold. Straight oils get pretty thin when hot.

I'd suggest using Honda HP4 without friction modifiers in 20W 50 for this hot summer too.
