Newbie Checking InNewbie Checking InI'm pretty excited about just acquiring a 1967 CL77. It's all original with 5,500 miles and only missing 3 items that I have ordered and on the way. A mirror, a brake light switch and a cover knob. It runs great. I'm also excited about finding this forum. I'm sure I'll be a regular with my questions. I'll try to attach a picture of my new toy.
newbie checking inWell Mr. B!
Welcome...nice to have you here. Nice bike too. Looks to me it's pretty well intact and she came with new Dunlop shoes too! Seems most of the stuff you're looking for will be inexpensive for the most part. Any word from the PO on the condition of the motor? At any rate...have fun with it. Oh....what's currently holding your side cover in place?, and looks as if the passenger footpeg is missing the rubber, or is it my eyes? The guy I bought it from said the engine is strong. I have had it out on the road a couple times and everything seems fine mechanically. I am amazed at how easily it starts with the first kick. I think there is just a bolt holding the side cover on for now. Yes, the foot peg rubber is missing but the seller had a new one he gave me. I do have a service manual on order. I would like to find an owner’s manual. One other person on this forum has a parts manual in pdf and I’m going to send him a PM requesting a copy.
Re: newI don't mind. It was on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $2,500. Bidding was up to almost $1,000 with 5 days left to go. I thought about letting the auction play out and take my chances but then I decided to just bite the bullet and Buy It Now. After I bought it I saw that there were over 100 watchers for the auction. I'm surprised somebody else didn't beat me to the Buy It Now offer. I'm happy with my purchase. Here is the link to the eBay auction. I think the link will work for a while. The seller gives a lot of information here.

Great Bike..Welcome KJB, you did well....You will find that this forum is full of knowledgable people who share information willingly....take the time to read as many threads as possible. I found several things by accident that really came in handy....reading the threads is very educational and you will learn so much if you don't stick to just the 250/305 scramblers..there is lots of useful information in the Dream and CB sections and check out the section devoted to racers...
