CL77 Speedo drive

Post by lifewithoutparole » Sun Jun 19, 2011 11:32 am

Hi All, I was Cleaning my bike when I noticed my speedo drive would rotate along the axle. I don't have a good feeling about this so I am attaching 2 pics that show it rotated in 2 positions. So, what do you all think? Thanks, Tim

Did you line up the tabs in the speedo drive with the slots in the hub? If not, take it apart, you probably bent the tabs and will need to straighten them, and line everything up and bolt back together. Tighten the axle nut before the clamp nuts so it sucks everything together.

davomoto, thanks for the reply. I will take it apart next weekend and see about those tabs. I had both tires replaced when I bought it and a friend and I put the wheels back on..I didn't catch the tabs up there..ooops!! This is a great forum. Thanks again.
