Yeah-- I checked out the cylinders last night with a strong light and a magnifing glass. I am thinking to get them bored one over . I live in the country and there isn't any machine shops I could trust to do the job right. I sent my valve head to Ed yesteday. I stuffed it in a "if it fits' it ships" box. Just got it in but they sent it after some pleading. Cost $14 verses 42$ to ship it regular mail. I think I may ask ED if he is willing to do it. I read he was good at valves but didn't know he did boring and such. I have been searching for pistons but have'nt come up with much. Some places I looked have one piston or one ring set. I would like to order them all at once from the same place and be done with it. Tried looking at the places mentioned in the forum but come up empty so far....

Check with Ohio Cycle http://www.ohiocycle.com/

Looks like he's got pistons and rings in NOS and aftermarket. Ring set I got was for 2 cylinders, although you might ask to be sure. He also has pins. The clips weren't listed, but he had them in aftermarket when I asked. His prices are pretty good on a lot of parts.

Morning Gents: Decided to pull the clutch and oil filter side off yesterday. First time the oil filter ever has been cleaned. Surprisingly not too bad. I expected more. Got it all cleaned up and when I went to put it back on by looking at my parts book the washer on the end was missing. I have a very small shop built into my garage so I figured I would be able to find it easily. My shop is now spic and span but I did not find it there. I looked and looked until finally a voice told me to check the engine out. Lo and behold I seen something out of place tucked down under bottom of the where the filter was. With a bunch more light and a magnifing glass I seen it clear. Took a bent wire to fish it out but I got it!!
Took the clutch plates apart and for all the racing I did way back when they didn't look too bad to my untrained eye.Put it all back together and started cleaning gasket material off the bottom of the cylinder head. Going back at it again after I fix a roof leak. I hate it when thoses kinds of things get in the way.........

Stupid, stupid, stupid. I knew the bearing was there but I lost it anyway. Anybody tell me what size the bearing is that goes in the clutch adjuster? inches/M.m.s Have to search the grass tomorrow but I doubt I will find it.
Can't believe what a stupid move that was........

It says 5/16" (or #10) in the parts fiche.

Don't feel too bad, today I tried to adjust the float on my 750 after installing it upside down!!

Took my 750 on a four day ride last week. Best ride ever. What a hoot.

The best thing is it is everything I imagined when I so wanted one back in the 1970's.
