When rebuilding my starter this thin o-ring just fell apart, it was very brittle. Does anyone know of a replacement or maybe another solution for keeping it sealed up?

I suppose another option might be to make a gasket out of thin gasket material. The more i look at it the more that seems like it might be the best option.

Hi,

O-ring rubber can be bought per meter (or feet), in any diameter).
Cut off what you need, and glue the ends together.
For these kind of applications it works perfect,
