Scrambler tires

Post by geosar » Fri May 06, 2011 1:26 pm

i am about to pull the trigger and purchase the tire/tube and strap package from Tim at Classic Restorations. The front tire is a Duro and the rear is a Dunlop, I believe.

Does any body have any advice or experience with this package

Any other suggestions? Tim has been a good supporter to me so far.

Thank you

Scrambler tires

George,
I put a set of Shinko Trials pattern tires on my CL77. I got them from Tires Unlimited online. Despite the aggressive pattern and soft feel of the tread, they stick like glue on the street and are predictable on dirt roads. I have put about 800 miles on them in the last year, including 2 Moto Giros, and I am very pleased with them. They have not worn appreciably in that time. I have ridden on them in every condition including temps down to single digits. They don't howl on pavement like knobbies and the ride is not harsh. I also like the way they make the bike look! YMMV, Bob B
2.75 in the front, 3.50 in the rear
