Need valuation recommendation
Need valuation recommendationI need to sell my CA77 and trying to figure what to ask. The bike has 19200 miles. I bought it at an estate sale.
The bike appears to be well-taken care of and was probably garage kept as the paint is in very good condition. All lights work (high-low beam, break light, neutral and instrument). Horn works but isn't real loud. Engine starts with one or two pushes of the electric starter button. Engine pulls good and shifts nicely. There was no smoke at start up and I noticed no oil leakage while parked. I had the bike up to about 40mph but didn't want to go faster as the tires are old and the brakes could use some adjusting and probably new pads. The left side muffler has been patched. Right side muffler has road scrapes on lower side. Both mufflers have their baffles. Missing are the carb covers and chain cover. Right side mirror is broken and will need to be replaced. Battery is at least 5 years old and will need to be replaced. Rear tire has a slow leak that is in the valve stem. Probably a new valve will take care of the leak. Left front fork has some scratches in the paint. Chrome on the rims is pitted and blistering in places. Thanks for the help! I'd say yours is in slightly better shape than mine......I'm not missing anything though and it has 4,000 less miles. I looked off and on for a long time before I found what I thought was a great deal on mine $1100.
One similiar to yours but with very low miles (like 3000) sold on eBay for $2600. So, I'd say it's somewhere in between there. Did that help? LOL
Of course it canSure. Look at that chrome "bill" thing on the top of the headlight. That was an accessory favored by the King. When looking at old bikes that may have belonged to him, that's one of the major things to look for, hence the expression "Elvis has left the bill thing."
