need one rim for CA77

Post by nc_rider » Mon Mar 07, 2011 12:06 pm

I'm lacing up CA77 wheels and have a front rim that is in decent shape (a few minor tire changing scuffs, a few tiny rust spots, one slight bend that I can fix) but the rear is pitted and painted silver. I made the mistake of buying a set of rims/spokes from Apex early on and was planning on using them since the bike won't be ridden much at all, but before I lace them on I thought I'd check and see if anyone has a spare rim that is in decent shape.

and if you have a set of NOS oem rims and NOS spokes that you'd part with.. umm.. feel free to tempt me.

Also, if anyone is wondering, the Apex rims are about 1/4" narrower than the stock rims...

I think I could come up with a decent OEM rim for you, will have to dig a bit for it. everyone here talks Toms rims down but I have had good luck with several sets after he showed me how to make them work. he is out of stock on those so I would take them off your hands if you don't use them, maybe a trade?
Thanks
Randy
