ok riddle me this why would it that when i turn the headlight on (66 cb77) that i get no headlight but when i check with a test light the speedometer housing is hot? only the speedo not the headlight case and i am not blowing fuses the headlight is out and tested good and the green ground screwed to the speedometer is not hooked up.. weird

looks like a internal short inside one of the speedo bulbs never seen that one before...

I haven't either!

I did have one headlight that was fine at idle, and tested good with a meter, but went out as the engine started to rev.

Turned out the filament was severed, but at idle the ends touched, and they separated from increased vibration as it reved up.
