I get buy using a small piece of emery cloth, folded it so it will dress both contacts. drag it thru the points a coulp of times. The the way I remove the residue, is drag a paper match thru, over and over use a new match each time. you will see they are clean, when the match shows no dirt. Set them nice and narrow, reduces arching, also give maximum amount of time for the coils to build up spark. I have run the same set of points a long time. points on battery ignition, are easy to keep working. It does help that they are parralell

Only the "ONE" will do.

Superchicken, I must have this exact file shown in picture, as this file is for my restoration and must be proper. It's interesting that this file was not included in the superhawk tool kits only CA and CL 250s and 305s.

Fred

I have checked with David Silver and they do not have it. I have several original toolkits so I will check those when I get a chance. I don't recall seeing one so don't get your hopes up.....

Fred, you've always been helpful to me for parts, so if you send me your busted file I'll send you my not-busted one. It's in pretty good shape.
