1961 CB72 First breath after coma
When the guy described it to me before I saw it I though 'yuck', but when I saw it I was really impressed by the color. The color was copied from a late 60's MGBGT. I'm afraid it has been this color longer than any other color, so this is the color it will stay as long as I have it! I have found remnants of blue in the headlight and red on the gas tank, so I'm not sure what color it was when it was new.

Also into Alfa Romeo Giuliettas and Giulias! Looking for a Giulia Super.
OK, so this will be a little irritating to some but if you can believe it, I forgot to cancel my ad on Craigslist and two days after I bought this bike I got an email form a guy with a completely disassembled 63 or 64 CB77 with a bunch of extra parts for $ (use your imagination, then multiply the amount you imagined by a scaling factor that turns out an equivalent amount of money in 1975.) My Tacoma was filled with parts! He called me two days later- seems he found three clutch side engine covers- one early one without 'HONDA' script, and five brake plates with shoes and linkages. Thanks.
Anyway, back to the original plot, I now have tons of spares for the CB72 project, trade fodder for stuff I need and a project to follow this one. CB72 progress? Well... I started packing my stuff to move my shop space this weekend, and decided I'm going to go for Cheng Shin tires.
