looking for cb handlebars for cheap

Post by Andy's CB » Mon Jan 17, 2011 1:06 pm

hey guys, it seems like the low bar throttle cable is a little cheaper and i really like the style on a superhawk, my bike has scrambler style bars that are in poor shape and are on my list of things to replace, so may as well do both now since i need a throttle cable for sure....
would rather get them in the states instead of waiting forever for them to come from thailand. so anyone got some used or new flat bars with holes for wires for a decent price? looking online but maybe someone has some used ones sitting around? thanks!

I have an AM handlebar that you're welcome to, Andy; just cover the postage cost. It's heavier, thickwall Brit tubing, 23" end to end with the correct pullback. I've already drilled it as a PO had run the electrics outside the 'bar. Now, when fitted, the only exposed (centre) drilling is concealed. The chrome's OK (not perfect -- some scratching, but no rust). Obviously not 'show'!

Not sure what your wanting, flat bars, like straight drag bars?? i have some that have a slight angle to them. im in indy area. I have mostly cb750 parts, some cb 550, cb360 and maybe a few dream parts.

if anything we should meet up sometime in the spring. I have a dream, scrambler, and a cb750.

Retrobikes has them for around $50, and they have all of the cables as well. They are in the states, and an absolute pleasure to deal with!

steve: pm sent, shipping might be prohibitive from spain :/
davo: looked there, but found cheaper elsewhere, thanks!
tango: i will be out on the west side real close to brownsburg next monday (actually most mondays) for work and could come by after(4 or 5 usually, or before every other week not out there til noon), right now i dont have the money i thought i did, but sometime in the next month or so maybe? need a new cable and need new bars to use the low cables. how much do you need for the bars youve got? or need any parts? i have a trash can of misc stuff for 305s that i could bring, pm if you want to try to figure something out, thanks!
and:
i found the low cable for about the same shipped as retro without shipping, http://myworld.ebay.com/motorcyclesolutionsllc got my points from this guy and he was great to work with as well. he has bars too, not sure how much combined shipping would be, do i need 7/8ths bars?
thanks guys!
