Compression check 1967 Dream 305

Post by quidger » Sun Jan 02, 2011 2:21 pm

How should I expect the readings of a compression check to read if the test is done without mufflers?

I assume that they would be lower than with mufflers but would like the opinion of others who might be more knowledgeable.

I am restoring this bike and I just got it running after tinkering for a couple of months. Have not replaced the mufflers as yet.

Thanks for helping.[/img]

Shouldn't make a difference as the valves will be closed when testing compression.

Cheers
