Literature needed to remove a top end
Sorry, I was not clear. I'm removing the top half due to stuck pistons. Looking for the masterlink to remove the cam chain and found it above the oil pump as you suggested. I see no way to remove the link at that spot as I will run into the side of the sprocket. I see no other options other than to break the chain at the top to remove the top half. Wondering if it is important to mark anything prior to breaking it and if it's a '35' chain that I will easily find a new link to re-connect. Steve CA78 - 3111XX - Frame

I recommend ya replace the chain no matter how ya remove it. .........................lm
I was surprised by this and had to double check the serial number on my engine, it's CA77E-318291. It's also in a CA78 frame (CA78-313246.) I wonder if that has something to do with it? 63 CA78
