I am sure the veterans of this forum already know about this, but as a
recent new owner of a CL77, I learned a lesson about spark plugs today.
We almost purchased three NGK D8HA spark plugs, from a seller on Ebay.
The seller proclaimed them as NOS and is asking $14.95 for three of
them ... PLUS $6.95 shipping = $21.90 total. Or $7.30 a piece.
Before I made the Ebay purchase, I checked the NGK Official website and found the
D8HA plugs were still listed as "available?" I emailed NGK asking where
I could buy the plugs and they wrote back that the plugs were "readily available"
at any Murrays, Auto Zone, or Pep Boys auto supply stores anywhere in
the country along with hundreds of other parts dealers?
So I drove 5 miles, to our local Murrays, and bought two of the VERY SAME plugs,
for $1.89 EACH. Or $5.41 LESS for EACH plug than the
ones on Ebay. And Murrays had 12 more, in a box, on the shelf!
Certainly a lesson in "Buyer Beware."
