1965 CA77 Ignition Switch Internal Contact Position

Post by bjshealy » Mon Oct 25, 2010 4:49 pm

Does anyone have a diagram/photo showing the correct contact position inside the combination/ignition switch?
I was not getting the battery voltage to the starter (ST) but the ignition (IG) did have the 12 volts in the correct key positions. The switch was previously taken apart but appears to be all there. Three springs, 3 ball bearings, 3 insulators, and 3 triangle shaped three-contact terminals. However the 3 three-contact terminals can be installed 180 degrees out, having one contact or two contacts facing out.
A diagram or photo would help very much!!
Thank you.

CA77 Combination Switch Internal Contacts

Post by bjshealy » Tue Oct 26, 2010 7:21 am

Thank you for the response. I have used both diagrams (the switch matrix and the wiring schematic)to troubleshoot the starter electrical problem to the internals of the switch itself. Now I need a photo or a diagram of the internal contact placement position. I have seen one in the past but cannot find it now that I need it!
I will keep you posted.
Many thanks again.
