Superhawk Rear Brake Punch Alignment

Post by Spargett » Wed Aug 18, 2010 5:45 pm

I don't know what the deal is with my brake hubs or arms, but for some reason there are NO punch marks on either. Possibly sanded off? Anyway, I've been attempting to adjust it "blindly" for a number of months now using a number of techniques with no real effect.

If anyone has a photo of their arm's orientation or punch marks or would be willing to snap one for me I would be very grateful. Something to help widdle away on using a reference.

Sorry to leave you hanging! Here's some pics. If you draw a line thru the cam shafts as a reference, it looks like the aft punches are at exactly 12 0'clock, and the forward ones are at 6 O'clock. See next post for full view of brake plates. I'm limited to 5 pictures for some reason???
