Looking for an early CB72 front fender
Jensen, Its possible later engine parts were swapped later in its life as the previous owner claimed the motor had been rebuilt (over 30 years ago). Maybe the mechanic had later parts to make repairs? I wont know what condition the motor is in until I finish up with a couple other bikes and I can take some time to go over it thoroughly. At any rate, I believe the frame is early (5 digit s/n) and maybe the motor is later (6 digit s/n).

Hi Scott,
The linkage systems on the hubs are period correct (the nut on the break cams). I wanted to see the underside of the headlight, but I have to learn to communicate better , I like to see the inside (where the speedo spring is attached). Scott, can you confirm that ? The frame and engine numbers are far apart, but that doesn't mean it's a later engine. I have seen more big differences between frame and engine numbers in the early bikes. Thanks again, Jensen. assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
