Unusual tail light on early CA72 - Standard??
Unusual tail light on early CA72 - Standard??I have a very early CA72 - Frame CA72-10042
It is fitted with a Tail light/number plate bracket I have never seen before. It appears to be standard - or at least to have been on the bike for quite some time - it has been over-painted in the same manner as the bike & appears to also have the original red paint on it. Here's a pic: http://darb.net/photos/anonymous/P1010032.sized.jpg Has anyone seen one of these before, on a CA72/77 or any other Honda? If so, where have you seen it, and on what model? If it's standard, I'm wondering what other models may have used it in order to hunt for a lens - I'd love to keep all the unusual features of this early bike standard if possible. Thanks! Rob.
Re: Unusual tail light on early CA72 - Standard??Nice pic of the girl but to much wire on the mouse, Now for a pic of the part. ........lm
pictureI couldn't get the picture to show either. Maybe email me a pic?
I think I got it sorted with help from Bill Silver & Troyce......
It seems that the bracket (very deep numberplate holder) is original Honda, but it is fitted with an Italian CEV light, probably from a Guzzi/Benelli, etc..... It seems that my bike would have been fitted with one of the early small rectangular lights....... Thanks all! Rob.
