Speedomter spring?

Post by MANATEEBREATH » Tue May 18, 2010 8:09 am

I have finally been able to start final assembly of my 66 Super hawk.
I am noticing a spring SPRING, SPEEDOMETER
61321-268-010

What is its function? I know I have never had one in any of my headlight shells or random boxes. It appears to hold the speedometer down? Where are the attaching points?
Thanks , John

my '62 originally had one of these springs, went from a bracket on bottom of speedo to a hole in bottom of headlight bucket. discontinued long before your bike. --Lee
