CB77 Timing ChainInteresting point, I guess since those "rollers" don't roll, there would only be contact marks and wear from the sprocket on one side. You could turn it inside-out to even it up! Is "pin" chain what I have in the picture? By the way, I've looked at a number of chain sources, and I don't see any 219 chain with actual rollers - its all pin or bushing chain. You sure you got rollers that roll on your cam chains?

I've been doing engines for others since 1992 and NEVER seen a pin cam chain. Just ones with a roller over the pin. Worked on or just disassembled for parts somewhere near 80 engines maybe more and still have apx. 20 others. The chains I use have a pin with a roller on it and I insist that a new one is installed every time. Why would you not replace that chain? A good chain which can have a link cut out and a master link installed usually costs apx $45.00 total. .............lm
