Description sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. Obviously an early upper case. No #'s that I can see. That ussually means its a replacement case assy ordered by part # from a dealer right?Dont look like anything special to me. I'm sure someone will set me straight if I'm wrong.

But the seller says it is a "race heavy duty". So you mean if I install it on my bike it won't go faster ?

Ok guys. Lighten up. That's mine and it is a replacement sand cast top case as supplied by Honda but rarely ordered.

Sure there's some poetic license in the title to catch attention, but nothing misleading. The Cr reference is there to appeal to anyone who have an interest in CR's and who might be contemplating building a replica. Obviously it is not a CR part.

They are both heavier and stiffer than stock cases. If your race bike makes 20-30hp, it would go slightly slower with these because they are heavier.

If your motor makes a whole lot more then you might appreciate the additional meat around the studs and the additional stiffness it offers to crank support.

And it's the only one I ever saw too. I'm sure there are some out there, I just never saw one sand cast before. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Just trying to clear out some parts I'm not using that might be useful to others. I can't even remember where it came from, but I think I may have bought it from Pete Rhodes in the UK and the aluminum has had time to age nicely.
