Mufflers from JCwhitney?

Post by Jethro » Mon Feb 22, 2010 10:50 pm

Hi all
I have a '65 CA77 and I am wondering if anyone has had any luck with some mufflers from JCwhitney. I'm just looking for anything that will work at this point. I'm just glad that I have some original J pipes.

Thanks
Jethro

mufflers

I put a pair of fishtail mufflers from J.C. Whitney on my 66 Dream.

Had to buy pipe reducers and weld mounting brackets onto them.

They worked out ok and i'm satisfied with them.

Nice one. Thanks for the input. I kinda figured that I may have to do some fabrication if I were to go that route but it sure beats paying a fortune for some originals.

mufflers

Your welcome.
It wasn't too bad a job. I used 2 chrome muffler hangers similar to the kind used on cars. Just a strip of metal with a lot of holes.
Figured out the position and attached to the mufflers by filling in a couple of holes.

They are pretty heavy and well worth the price.
