Seat FoamSeat FoamNew CA77 poster. I've read the posts but haven't seen this issue addressed. I have a perfectly good seat cover but the foam is dried out and quickly falling. Is there a source or special type of foam for a CA77 where I can rebuild it myself?
Seat FoamThanks for the response. I am going to get a quote at a local shop that does custom seats for hot rods and maybe have them replace the foam.
i have no idea too. i have a perfect original seat from my `66 Dream with foam that is all crappy. i'd like to have it re-dun also
Seat Foam updatefound a seat/convertible top shop that will cut the foam for me but I need to disassemble the old one for a template. That wasn't going to be fun since the foam is decomposing.
As an interim solution I've coated all the visible foam with a clear coat to keep it from sprinkling my bike with dots of red foam. It's worked so far. I've now gotten my bike rideable and registered and having fun with it. I'm going to hold off the seat project till winter arrives. See photo in CA77 section under - 22 Years...
