i would like to wire a kill switch on my 305 dream.
i would like to wire a kill switch on my 305 dream.and as per the wiring diagram i have it doesnt have one. ive looked around a couple places and it seems like most just throw the positive side of the coil to ground. is this correct or is there a better way to do this?
thanks michael
kill switch on my 450 opens the 12 volts to the coils... so its between the black wire and the coils.. so if you get the 2 wire switch, that closes in the on position, then you would wire it in between the battery and coils... if you get a grounding switch, you need to wire it to bridge on the wire from the coil to the points so that is puts a ground on the points to kill it... I like the other so that I can kill the 2.5 amps to the coils when i'm working or lights and gauges... so it doesnt run down the battery. good luck.. bill
