CL77 Selling Out
CL77 Selling OutWell guys, after too many years to count, I'm down to one last 1965 CL77 to sell after I reassemble it with a new (rebuilt) engine. Just sold two, a 1967 rider and a 1966, Unfortunately, both my knees have gone "tits up" so to speak and am unable to kick start any longer. Will need to go to an electric starter. Hell getting old, but don't want to stop riding. I'll be hanging out to keep up so try not to go too fast for me. I get scared......................RIGHT!!!!(NOT) Last kicker will be my old 1968 Suzuki (Iknow, Traitor) TC200 Street Scrambler twin. Have an engine to swap out in that one. Been loads of fun and will have to sort thru all my parts to see just what I have (a lot). Best to you all.................Charlie (AKNA cbxmountainman)
Need engine casing with # close to CL1002758Sounds like you are well connected in this area. Am restoring an early small hub CL77 and while the motor is also an early series motor, it is several hundred off from the serial # on the bike. I would like to find a casing with a serial # close to the frame # so when I rebuild my motor, I can use the new casing to get closer to a numbers matching bike, Do you have access to such a casing or know anyone that might? Thanks! Dave
Engine NumbersI have a couple in my basement. I'll get the numbers and fire 'em off to you and you decide. One set of cases has the transmission gears inside, but no crank, etc while the other is complete, but locked up for some reason. It did turn over before as I turned it every week just to keep it "loose".
