Mounting position of the starter solenoid

Post by Carl1951 » Mon Oct 19, 2009 7:17 pm

Could someone with a CB77 post a picture of the starter solenoid (a/k/a starter magnet switch) mounted in the frame. Thanks.

The starter solonoid does not mount to the frame. It actually mounts on a bracket on the bottom of the tool box. Sorry I dont have a pic for ya cus my bracket was gone and it was clamped to the frame w/ a hose clamp. You should find a pic somewhere here or look for a tool box on ebay and you'll see it. Brent

Thanks; there's a hole in the bottom of the tool box where it should be mounted (vibrations?), therefore, the previous owner bolted it to the frame; I knew it was incorrect. I've looked everywhere for a picture (shop manual, internet, etc.) or for another bike to look at (many CLs in the area, but no CBs). Once again, thanks to both of you.
