Light Green CL77

Post by jakenok » Mon Sep 28, 2009 11:50 am

Will the forum member who mentioned buying a CL77 painted an unusual light green color contact me? I just bought a '66 painted a what I think is similar color. When I stripped the fenders, I did not find any other color underneath it. Just wondering if you ever found out any details. The PO of my bike said it was bought from the Honda dealer this color. Of course, it could have been done by the dealer, but they did a very thorough job if so.

'65 Scrambler I bought it in pieces in 1973. Here is a picture of the tank and seat. The tank has wrinkle paint. Is this the color? Anyone ever seen this combo before? If not factory, this paint and seat were really well done.

I bought one last year on Ebay that was painted a sort of light greenish/silver. 1966 vintage and came from Ohio. I have all the original paperwork (title) from when it was sold and all the registerations stamps. Am repainting to sell back on Ebay. PO also just stuck an armature in it with no bolts, so I replaced it with the correct bolts and good armature as the wires were ripped out.

I'll try and get some in the next couple of days. Already painted the front fender so that's a no-go. I'll do the rest, time permitting and send them to you off list as not sure how to post it on list. Bike was/is complete even with the tool kit, but no owners manual, no big deal to me. Charlie
