Freeing Stuck Motor

Shane: Here is a peice of what I consider to be good advice, since your asking. If the engine is frozen, consider doing the following. A friend told me about this and it has worked for me on three separate bikes.
Remove spark plugs. Fill cylinders with penetrating oil. Wait two days. Remove the stator from around the magnet on the crank shaft. Heat the cylinders with a blow torch until it is very warm to the touch. Careful, do not let the flame touch the fins. Be patient this takes awhile to heat up. Protect the magnet (I use an old inner tube) and wiggle the crankshaft back and forth with a large pair of channel lock pliers. (BE GENTEL). You will notice the free travel keeps getting longer until you are able to rotate it all the way around. I have freed three motors with this method. The last motor, I had to repeat after 24 Hrs to get it loose.
