Say, does anyone see a problem with running a 110/80 on a stock CB77 rear
rim? or even a 120/80?

I ordered a set of Avon AM26's with a 110/90 in the rear, which was pushing. I haven't put them on yet, but I'm gonna give it a try. As far as 120, that sounds too big to me for a stock rim. The 80 seems to throw fuel on the fire in this scenario as well. I'm others can give their input as well.

Interested to know what happens Spargett.

I do have a 90/90 on the rear now, which is why , based on my understanding, I said x/80. a 90/90 height is 81mm, a 100/80 is 80mm a 110/80 is 88mm high etc....thought it might keep the height down to reasonable if i go the x/80 route.

the 90/90 is soooo tiny back there. like a bicycle tire

Well the back is suppose to be a 100/90 (3.00") and the front is suppose to be a 90/90 (2.75"). So it sounds like you have two front tires on. You're really just one tire away from stock (assuming the front is in good condition).

Ah. I went with this conversion: 90/90---MJ90---2.75/3.00

This was a front tire chart but the rear chart had nothing near a 3.00

simple yet confusing

I can confirm that Chen Shin is getting hard to find and the price is going up. Finding a different brand tire listed size 3.00x18 has been futile and converting the size is confusing (understatement). Are there any tire experts out there that can give me the closest tire size converting it to a tire size number that is being used? I would like to stay as close to stock size as humanly possible. Thank you in advanced.
