And the next problem is.........And the next problem is.........Ok, Ive learned to sift through the posts and see if I can find if a problem has already been addressed. No luck on this one.
Background: 67 CA77, 12K miles Bike sat for 4 yrs prior to aquisition. (was told ran good prior to being parked) I have: cleaned fuel system, tank and rebuilt carb. Rebuilt petcock and installed inline filter New points (timed, adjusted) and condenser, new air filter and oil. New plugs, trimmed back wire leads to caps. Was running great for the last couple of days So yesterday, Im on my longest ride yet (approx 6 miles). Suddenly, cuts out and dies. No lights-nuthin. After sitting for approx 25 mins, it starts and runs for about another minute and cuts out again. Then no start at all. My hunch is it is electrical related (nuetral light wont come on either). Is there something that can go bad when it heats up, then might work a little when it cools back down? Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -Kent next problemLow battery due to no charging? That's how mine acted when I had a similar problem.

78 Goldwing I think mike69 has hit the button. Due to riding my CL more than the CA mine has done the same thing. So if the battery is good put it on a trickle charger and leave it overnight. It should do fine, if it does the same thing right away then do a check on your rectifier, also an easy fix. The bike is not that great when it comes to a charging system in the first place. G

If your charging system isn't working your bike has been running only off of the battery. Once the battery is dead the bike will barely run.
