.... Or you can use a low temp. welding as HTS 2000. Cheap and works very vell.

Well,

I went ahead with the helicoil, first time I ever used one. I do like the repair and it seems to be very solid. I had to drill back a little farther in the head than I would have liked to find good material. Of course this forced me to use a longer stud as well. Thanks for all the suggestions and help.
