I was at the hardware store the other day looking for various nuts and bolts for my dad's 65 CL77. Some of the parts I was looking for were some screws to hold on the stainless steel strip that goes around the seat. I brought in the strip to make sure they would fit. Well I found some that would work and paid for them and walked out. Two days later I headed over to my friends garage to put the parts on the bike. Thats when I realized I left the strip at the hardware store. I immediatly called and asked if they had seen it and they informed me that they had already thrown it away and that the trash had already been picked up.
I say all this wondering if anyone knows where I might find another one. Or does anyone know if other years or models will work?
